There is room for each child to shine in this joyful and creative ensemble-based program. Excited campers return annually to experience the collaborative process of bringing a story to life. Under the guidance of theater professionals and energetic counselors, every camper finds personal success, develops true friendships, and builds happy memories that last a lifetime.

Campers will:

  • Use myths, fairy, and folk tales to inspire storylines
  • Develop improvised scripts with our professional drama director
  • Create songs with our musical director
  • Devise dances with our choreographer
  • Construct sets with our tech director
  • Design costume pieces with our costume designer
  • Learn a musical instrument with a specialist
  • Participate in daily swim, recreation, and choice periods

Campers’ creative work culminates with a full-scale production that is shared with family and friends during camp’s final week.

2025 Performance Dates: Thursday, July 31, and Friday, August 1

2025 Encore Week Option: August 4 – 8

  • What will be my child’s typical daily schedule?

Every day of Performing Arts Camp offers a mixture of scheduled and free-choice activities. Campers connect at the morning meeting, and then travel with their camp groups through an exciting rotation of indoor and outdoor periods.

Sample schedule for Junior Theater Makers:

    • Camp Meeting
    • Instrumental Workshop (recorder, percussion, or violin)
    • Snack and Choice Time
    • Drama Workshop
    • Recreational Swim
    • Lunch
    • Vocal Workshop
    • Arts and Crafts
    • Dance Workshop
    • Free Play
    • Share Time

Campers have access to playgrounds and acres of outdoor space to enjoy during free play. During Choice Time, campers can select from a variety of rotating activities such as bracelet making, board games, hip-hop, stained glass, yoga, origami, slime-making, and more.

Share Time is a weekly activity that campers fondly anticipate! Each Friday afternoon, camp groups share the progress they’ve made toward their final performances in drama, dance, or instrumental.

  • Does my child need to audition for camp?

We do not interview or audition children; rather, we attract kids and families who share our understanding of what an art, music, dance and theater camp can and should offer: non-competitive, self-directed, process- and learning-oriented programs in a small, friendly community.

Camp is life-changing! We have fun at PAC, and our supportive approach inspires the commitment and dedication of our campers.

This camp is such a joyful, collaborative, and confidence building experience for kids.  My twins are counting down to summer. Carline, mother of Group B campers
My kids loved PAC! They came home eager to practice their instruments and perform their songs and dances. And they learned so many games which they absolutely loved. They can’t wait to see the team again next summer. Simon, father of 10-year old boy and 12-year old girl
The best kept secret in Brooklyn!  You get amazing results in such a short period of time. Tom, father of Group A camper
After three years in the camp’s instrumental enrichment program, my daughter was awarded a music scholarship to a local high school.  We are thrilled! Diana, mother of Group E camper
It was awesome for my son to work with counselors who attend amazing performing arts high schools and colleges. He was encouraged and inspired by these role models. And your teachers were just WOW! Kim, mom of Grade 8 camper
